When having a crib in our living room became crazy-making we started looking to move.  We figured everyone was right and we really couldn’t survive in a 1 bedroom apartment with a baby.  But Vancouver is not the most affordable city. This city offers so much… mountains, ocean, forests, amazing coffee, great food, really everything you need and want but you pay for it.

We were looking at almost double the cost of our apartment to add one bedroom and none of the places we looked at had the things we loved about our place… 15ft ceilings, big windows, green space, white kitchen (silly but so necessary to me!!)

For us, living in the city was so important, so we needed to figure out how to live with less while adding a baby to our life.
